My Name is WhippetView's Sassy Kat.. affectionately known by my Mumzie as Zoƫ
That's me last summer on my vacation to Colorado up in Estes Park. Jake, (you can see his blog HERE and I rode for three days with our two legged persons ( my Mumzie, Jake's Mumzie and Jake's Mumzie's daughter from Panama City Beach, Florida, where I live to Jake's home in Colorado for a two week vacation. Then Mumzie and I drove back by ourselves in our new Honda van. Its much nicer having a large car and a back seat all to myself with my very own seatbelt.
I am 4 1/2 years old. My birthday is November 2, 2004. My Mom, who is affectionately know as my Mumzie, had Great Danes as companions for over 30 years. When Catherine VonMeistersinger (affectionately known as Catherine) went to the Rainbow Bridge, my Mumz decided it was time to do some downsizing. She had met a wonderful Whippet while she and Catherine lived in NYC and fell in love with the breed. We were the perfect size and temperment to fit into her home. She did lots of research on the computer ( probably where I get my techie interest and abilities) and found a breeder who set their breeding standards very high. (Maybe tomorrow I will post a little about my parents and their people for you to read.) She contacted them and after a series of interviews was approved to take one of the puppies from a just born litter home when it was old enough.. (that was ME!!) The breeders selected two of us from which she could choose.. I really hoped it was going to be me.. the quieter, just a little shy ( I prefer to think reserved) loving and loyal doe eyed girl. And guess what.. she picked ME!
I went home with her shortly before Valentine's Day in 2005.

Equal Opportunities - A spot of humor until I can get a real post together..
A local business was looking for office help. They put a sign in the window, stating the following: "HELP WANTED. Must be able to type, must be good with a computer and must be bilingual. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer." A short time afterwards, a dog trotted up to the window, saw the sign and went inside. He looked at the receptionist and wagged his tail, then walked over to the sign, looked at it and whined.">Getting the idea, the receptionist got the office manager. The office manager looked at the dog and was surprised, to say the least. However, the dog looked determined, so he lead him into the office. Inside, the dog jumped up on the chair and stared at the manager. The manager said, "I can't hire you. The sign says you have to be able to type." The dog jumped down, went to the typewriter and proceeded to type out a perfect letter. He took out the page and trotted over to the manager and gave it to him, then jumped back on the chair. The manager was stunned, but then told the dog, "The sign says you have to be good with a computer." The dog jumped down again and went to the computer. The dog proceeded to demonstrate his expertise with various programs and produced a sample spreadsheet and database and presented them to the manager. By this time the manager was totally dumb-founded! He looked at the dog and said, "I realize that you are a very intelligent dog and have some interesting abilities. However, I *still* can't give you the job. " The dog jumped down and went to a copy of the sign and put his paw on the sentences that told about being an Equal Opportunity Employer. The manager said, "Yes, but the sign *also* says that you have to be bilingual The Dog looked at him straight in the face and said "Meow".

OOPS! I forgot this was here!
Thanks to my two best cousins, Jake and Fergie, (you can read their blog HERE)I remembered that I had started a blog way way back last summer, after Jake, his person (my person's sister), and his person's daughter (my person's neice) (now if that isn't confusing!!), left Florida to go back home to Colorado. My Mumzie and I went back to Colorado with them too. That was before The Lovely Miss Fergie joined her new family. Anyway, they (Jake and Fergie) have started their own blog and needed a little help. They called me on their Mom's iPhone (betcha didn't know dogs could use an iPhone.. its voice activated.. WOOF WOOF hahaha!) to ask me some questions about getting their blog started and the light bulb came on! Yip! My blog was still here!! Well, I've been into all kinds of mischief and have been on some exciting adventures since I last put paws to keyboard. Maybe now that I have a couple someones around to motivate me I will co better! By the way that's not me in the picture, my legs are much longer!!
